B4 is my carpentry workshop. Welcome!

Wood scissors, planes, trusquin... No big machines, little noise, everything or almost everything is done by hand. Here the centuries-old traditional gestures are put at the service of trendy creations, giving them the soul and robustness that make the charm of the old.

The B4 adventure began on my daughter's first birthday. I had decided to make him the rocking horse that had been in my head for quite some time. And this moment was magical!
I had been a cameraman and director for 25 years. I stopped my career to devote myself to woodworking.

As you can see, I am self-taught.

I design my furniture and toys to be durable and have a low ecological impact. The wood I use comes from local forests and PEFC certified. I think this philosophy naturally gives objects values that are favorable to their users.

The B4 creations are clean and minimalist, vintage, Scandinavian and industrial inspiration. The old is once again interfering in modernity. These are pieces of traditional solid wood carpentry, handmade, in small series or custom. They are thus the opposite of standardized consumer products and stand out, helping to give a strong identity to our contemporary interiors, family homes and lofts.

B4 is a family story.
If you're wondering "why B4?", it's just something my daughter told me, when she was two years old.

L'aventure a commencé au premier anniversaire de ma fille. J'avais décidé de lui fabriquer le cheval à bascule qui me trottait dans la tête depuis pas mal de temps. Et ce moment fût magique!
J'étais cameraman et réalisateur depuis 25 ans. J'ai stoppé ma carrière pour me consacrer au travail du bois.
Et ça a été… un échec ! Haha ! Et bien non, tout n’est pas aussi facile que dans les films !
La bonne nouvelle, c'est que j'avais acquis certaines compétences et j’en ai ajouté d’autres depuis. Ça, c’est la partie facile.
J’ai ensuite mis un peu d’ordre autour de moi et fait évoluer mon projet pour aboutir à la collection que je vous propose avec la marque ROZ. Une série d’objets mariant le bois et le textile, cousus à la main et agrémentés d’éléments graphiques, avec un parti pris esthétique sans concession.
